They won't ship to NY. Don't care. You might keep seeing this. I believe what we're seeing is a market correction to people's actual buying patterns. The 8 yrs under Obama produced hundreds of AR lower and full rifle makers. There aren't hundreds of different ways to make a lower of varying quality. They all do pretty much the same thing. Same thing witj ammo companies. Both of those got to charge the panic premium and then banked on a Clinton win and built up a big stock then the bubble burst. I believe if these companies actually recognized their mistakes and unloaded their stock even at a loss, it's more money than they'd be getting now. Demand is low, you decrease your prices to shrink supply. Basic econ 101...

If you're just looking for plated stuff Berry's are better. I've had a few issues with RMR.

Well for one the plating itself. They may have changed their standards from back when I ordered but the plating seemed to be pretty thin and inferior. I've found a few where there were spots of raw lead showing. I actually still have a good quantity of various bullets from them and maybe I'll compare some to the Berry's. Even just holding one against a Berry's bullet you can see and feel the difference in quality. I'd just like to add that I have experience with plating quality because of my dealings with refining precious metals. I can basically look at gold plated materials and have a good idea of the quality of the gold plating. But again I can do some actual testing.
The other thing I had a problem with was I once ordered 25 acp casings from them. They were pulled from Remington ammo. So it was unfired and primed casings. About 3 out of every 10 cases were cracked. You could only tell when you tried to load them. A big split from the mouth down was there. It was Remington's fault for the faulty casings but I thought RMR should have at least tested out a few casings to inspect their quality. I will say though that they made it right by sending me a few hundred more and then changing the casings description letting this issue be known. For each quantity they sold they would add a few hundred more to all orders.
Ya I've never used their plated bullets. I found them when they started making their fmjs. I surprised how low they were. Honestly I think the are only $1 more per 500 than most plated. Ya I have yet to buy pulled from them, I'm always nervous to run into issues like you did.
