With all the video of NYC and others police department responses, I can't help but wonder if it was just simple an intel gathering operation. I saw NYC police all bunched up in groups wandering around and standing in place holding up walls.

Hmmm.... Must be Utica isn't a hotbed of terrorist activity sleeper cells. Been outside all day - a couple of firearms set discreetly inside of the door, but have yet to hear one single thing out of the ordinary. And here I was preparing for all out urban guerilla warfare. But at least I got a ton of yardwork done and am pretty much winter prepped with all the right trees and shrubs pruned!

Terrorists like to keep people on edge. Seems they've been successful, at least to a degree. I spent much of the day doing yard stuff too... whilst keeping a little .380 lead spitter in my pocket. But then, even though I live in small town USA I've been keeping myself armed more often than usual for the past few weeks. I don't know exactly why, just happened that way.

I find this Newsweek headline kind of interesting. It refers to Dearborn Michigan as a "Muslim city". I wasn't aware there were Muslim cities here in the USA. Guess the US of A is becoming more diverse than what I had realized.

Just to change things up a bit, I realized I have an excavator and have lined my (very very steep) driveway and most of the pad around the house with multi-ton boulders.
