From the evening news last night I learned that Onondaga county pays $100,000,000.00 in Medicaid expenses. So Andy it looks like the counties are paying for Medicaid now.

During their campaigns they promised to do just this to take on this abuse by Albany and FUAC, and go figure, some elected officials from New York are following through on what they promised to do. I wonder what would happen if the Feds and States simply got the Hell out of healthcare, retirement, education, environment, etc. and let individuals and communities do what is best for themselves within their means?

I know if I had invested the money given to Social Security on my own I'd have 10x as much of it.

And I bet if you did tort reform, allowed importation of drugs, and stopped treating assholes for free then we could buy our own health insurance policies for a fraction of what they now cost.
