Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was the first to break the news that the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) proposed funding a feasibility study to feed “fake meat” to the Navy.

“Funding in the NDAA, provides a pilot program to feed fake meat to the Navy,” Rep. Greene wrote on her Twitter last week.
“As if recruitment isn’t hard enough right now getting young people to join our woke military requiring vaccines, the Navy is going to have it extra hard bc apparently Bill Gates is designing the menu,” she argued.

According to the article they are testing demand for vegan MREs and menu items, at least that's how it starts. They probably figure with the Navy they have captive test subjects.
I was in the Navy many years ago. I don't ever recall any vegetarians, and if there were they probably had their own "don't ask, don't tell" policy about it.
Good chow is critical to morale, especially while deployed. And the Navy learned the importance of good food a long time ago to prevent nutritional deficiencies common onboard ship, like scurvy.

Only today's pols could force the Navy to fuck up good ol' SOS. Sad, but not surprising. They allow men to pretend they are women, pretending plants are meat is completely in line with their dystopian vision.

i went into the NAVY in 83 .. got to duty station SIMA SC .. chow hall .. omg it was a fight with the cooks to get 2 raw eggs on the tray LOL ..
