G19 gen 5 slide on a Gen 4 frame

I have a G19 gen 4 MOS and would like to buy a complete OEM slide without the MOS cut. I found the Gen 5 slide to be readily available from multiple sources. Before I purchase one I wanted some opinions on compatibility. I have read that it should be a direct replacement. But I was hoping someone here had some experience or expertise on this. Thanks in advance.

From my understanding a Gen5 slide is not compatible with a Gen4 frame. Can't remember the specifics.

Gen 5 slide fits on a Gen 4 frame for me. Assembly, dry fire and disassembly.
