so i shot the new gen 5 G17 on monday night.
I was taking it out to shoot thebpostal match on monday. I forgot that it was the clubs "monday night pistol league" So no postal match, but i shot mnpl.
Nver fired this gun before. Beeper went off, pulled it outta my g34 holster (safariland als) and started to send lead down range.
I managed to hit the 1st two poppers. Took me 3 rounds to find the correct "spot" on the texas star. Once located the 5 plates fell off.
Paper was easily ventilated.
Ran all the mixed matched ammo i used. Reloads and factory. All mags worked. Gen 5, 4, and 3.
Trigger worked well enough that i hit everything.....

Sights were nice. They work.. No adjustment was needed. I like to "lollipop" my sights. These come through sighted in more "combat" sighted (hold front sight right on target. Basicslly cover the target with front sight dot and she hits perfectly).
I only used the right hand slide release.....but i bet the left release works fine!
