Getting back into a rimfire benchrest league..

I shot in this league for a few years (Pine Tree Rifle Club, Johnstown) on Monday evenings till I changed jobs and was working 2nd shift. Now that I am retiring I want to get back into it. This coming Monday is the sign-up and practice night so I took it off. As you have to be a member I have been paying dues for the last 5 years and never shot at to Club since that years league ended.

I don't even remember if I have shot my Ruger 77/22 since then. Really like that rifle it shot good when I got it then I put a Shilen factory contour barrel on it, I can shoot in upper 240's (shot a 250 once so far!) on the IBS 50 yard target with CCI-SV ammo. The league shoots 18 matches 10 for record, so I many miss a few in the beginning as I wait for my SSI to start.

Best is a nice group of people to shoot with!

More people are shooting 22 now due to ammo prices, obviously. Sounds like fun, I really want to get into shooting sports myself, but I just dont have the time right now.

That is true! Been shooting steel at my home Club with a 22 pistol and setting up a 22 rifle also. I'm sitting on my centerfire ammo and plan on starting to reloading as I got a Dillon 750XL with the first stimulus last year.

Thats awesome, my old man bought a .22 semi auto Walther and its great to shoot. I had an er shaw barrel on my 10/22 that was super accurate, I sold it for a fluted green mountain barrel years ago and still havent shot it yet as all my shooting was really 9mm, and 556. I really need to shoot some .22 and 12ga as well since i have a good amount of stock in those calibers.
