So...it'll soon be illegal to melt a bunch of aluminum cans and cast them into an aluminum ingot. That ingot will be deemed a "receiver precursor" and require registration in New York state.

Given that such a device as the "Ghost Gunner 3" would be able to do more than simply mill receivers, such as engrave and carve metal and wood, it would be a dual-use machine. I look forward to such a machine being banned. If it was, they'd have to ban: Saws, drill presses, routers, bits, sanders, polishers, etc.

Take a look what a $300 3D printer can do.

I'm trying to motivate myself to make a wood laminate AR receiver. Then all the lumber in Home Depot will be unfinished receivers.

If anyone has a vacuum set up for wood stabilizing, drop me a note.

"After milling the non-receiver block on the Ghost Gunner 3, your new zero percent receiver is combined with a lower-lower and buffer tower (sold together as a build kit) to complete your AR-00 receiver, which is now ready to be assembled into a full AR just like any other stripped lower."

So it appears the machine is only capable of completing a portion of the lower as one piece. I don't like the idea of making a single part into 3. Especially the "buffer tower".
