Glock 26 Ankle Carry

Some think a Glock 26 is too big for ankle carry. I wear this when I have to tuck in a shirt. Here I'm wearing it with Dickies work pants. Follow my dog's chew toy to see which leg it's worn on.

I never thought about ankle carrying my 26, always figured it was too big and bulky. How long have you been doing this? Seems interesting and not as bad as I thought. In the pic with your pants on (lol) I thought it was on your other leg until I reread your first post about the dog toy.

Maybe a year or two. I don't wear it everyday. It's easier with boots on because you don't have to velcro it tight. Wearing shoes, you have to wear it tighter so that it doesn't slide down. When I wear boots, I can wear it all day. You'll walk funny at first but you get used to it.

A Glock 43 would work even better. The 26 can be heavy when running though.

With a properly secured holster, Id do it. I wear boots year round. But shorts 90% of it. Only wear pants if snow goes above my boots.

For running I suggest the duct tape holster John McClain style between the shoulder blades......

I have a ankle holster for a 26 and it works but is on the heavy side. It is more comfortable than I thought it would be. The LCP I will forget its there.

I really want to explore this style of carry more. My work attire doesn't allow me to carry on the waist so this is the only way I can come up with carrying. I originally bought one of these for my G43. ANKLE GLOVE (ANKLE HOLSTER): Galco Ankle Holsters at Galco I found it to be too large for regular boot cut jeans. I will have to try a different style in the future. I've also kicked around the idea of picking up a smaller gun and ankle carrying. Something like the body guard. I would like to stay with 9mm, but I don't know if this will be possible.
