Glock 26 vs Sig P365

I bought pretty much all the compact and subcompact 9s. The 26 is a tank and I’ve carried it all over the east coast on my bike. That being said it feels substantially thicker and heavier when AIWB, so much so that I preferred carrying a Shield (original and now 2.0). Sold my 43 as I think it’s an inferior pistol and don‘t see it as an upgrade to 26.

The 365 grip feels great in the hand (I wear a large in most gloves). It feels way lighter and more concealable in the Tulster AIWB holster than the 26. Trigger is surprisingly good (though lacking a safety mechanism if that’s important to you). I can shoot it very accurately at 7 yards and recoil isn’t bad. It really is a game changer IMO.

Does the grip angle cause you to aim low naturally? My LCP’s grip angle does with both thumbs forward. It also does for this guy below and the 365. That’s what I’m afraid of happening and why I want to rent one first. For some reason the Glock grip angle just works for me.

I would say it’s more of a neutral angle. Glocks require me to cant my wrist down, which is good for recoil control. 365 isn’t like that but I’ve had no problem aiming low, I just adjust/practice with it like I would any other gun.

I don't have any holsters for the 365XL yet, but I don't think there will be an issue concealing. I CCW my Shield with a 10 round magazine, and the grip ends up longer than the 365XL's grip. Here are some comparison pictures (forgot to take some with mags inserted) -



I did buy an aftermarket 365 grip module (I think they are normally around $30 but I went premium and got a Grey Guns stippled one) - I haven't tried this configuration yet. (doing this means you also need to buy reg-365 magazines at $40+/each...)

I was in the same boat as you and actually put a down payment on the SAS , I watched some reviews and ended up just

going with the 365 , I'm actually picking it up tomorrow

I've heard mostly bad things about the SAS. The sights, while interesting, are apparently difficult to use in practice (sight blocks the lower half of your target), and they aren't adjustable. You can't easily use replaceable grip frames as the slide lock/release and takedown levers are recessed.

I have zero on-hand experience with the 365 SAS but this is what I've heard from multiple YouTube reviewers.

Yeah that was my concern too. Just too many different things to learn (and I'm out of practice with shooting as it is). Still, the SAS is very cool. Maybe in 6-12 months if I really like the regular P365 I'll think about trying the SAS model.

Now I just need to find some 9mm. Between this, my P320 and the Beretta my stash is starting to get a little low.

Same here. Was really interested in the sleek no snag treatment of the SAS. Looks super cool too. But I don't want to take the risk of not liking them.

SIG P365 SAS sight adjustment???

I looked thru manual & it only references the standard 3-dot sights, not the SAS sight. I can't see any way to adjust that sight - anyone know how? Mine shoots pretty low & a little right. I always joke to my dealer that every gun he sells me "shoots low & to the left" cuz I'm sure he gets...

I'm going to just say it, the whole "anti snag" is a gimmick.. if you are using a quality kydex holster what exactly are you "snagging" ????

Only time I have ever snagged my gun on a draw is if I'm rushing (always trying to get better and faster) and I don't clear my cover shirt enough and the gun gets caught up in it.

Doesnt matter if it's my G34 or if it was a 365 of other micro gun, it didn't get caught on a slide stop or magazine release..

Well I got her home today and am working on getting familiar with it , trying to master the mag release

with one hand and its hard as the mag catches the lower part of my hand and won't drop as the pad of my hand is in the way

anyhow I was able to check out the Glock 45 and liked the gen 5 style , talked to a guy who was purchasing his first hand gun

and he wanted my opinion , I told him Glock for his first one and he ended up going with the Glock 45 after checking pretty much

all of the other guns in that class , guy was a big dude who had a set of mitts on him so the 45 fit his hand well , I think he was happy with his

choice anyway it's always good to see a new gun owner .

This will be my 2nd Holosun - I have a HE510C-GR (green reticle) on a rifle. I have a slight astigmatism and the green reticle is almost perfect without Rx glasses.

I ordered a holster for my 365XL almost 2 months ago from Blackpoint Tactical, should be showing up any day now..

I will be getting a P365 as soon as I can find one. My buddy wanted to compare my G43X with his dads P365 so we met up and compared them side by side. Made me really want one. He decided to go with the Sig too. I know they have plants closed and have filed for bankruptcy. Hope I am able to get one still.
