So the recoil spring in my G43 doesn’t always stay fully seated in the notch on the barrel. I noticed when this happens the slide lock won’t fully operate. Is this normal ? Or should I be contacting Glock.

This can’t happen with a glock I thought they were perfect.
I’d call them and ask them. They are the experts on their pistol and who knows they may just send you a new recoil spring for free.

No issues with mine. Not a ton of rounds through it yet though. I'd suggest contacting Glock if someone on here doesn't have an easy fix.

Mine is easy to knock out of the notch during reassembly, but once the slide is on and everything is in place, it operates 100% normally for me. Last time I took it to the range, I put about 100 rounds through it with no stoppages. Nothing bent, nothing obviously broken. I think it's just touchy to get it together, but solid once it is.
If it's happening during firing, then that's a problem. Contact them if that's the case.

Sometimes it if it’s really misaligned I won’t be able to operate the slide lock. But otherwise it functioned flawlessly.

Wait, so you won't be able to operate the slide lock but it will fire ok? Or you won't be able to re-assmble / manipulate the slide lock during reassembly until it is seated properly?
If it operates fine once fully together, it's not immediately alarming. I'd maybe just check with Glock to see if it's known that it's a PITA to put it back together. Mine is a little finicky, but it does reassemble / fire fine.

Strange, i took mine apart just a little bit ago and the recoil spring assembly was actually sitting just above the notch that its suppised to sit in. Now i dont know if i knocked it during disassembly or not so i put it back and racked the slide vigorously about 20 times then disassembled and it was sitting where it is supposed to. I did this two times with no change.
There is nothing I can see from the pictures that are different than mine so I'm not sure why the recoil spring is hopping out of the little Notch, but I would contact Glock as you don't want your life to depend on a gun that is not functioning properly.

Is it just me put that recoil spring looks like it has a bend In it is stock maybe you need to upgrade to stainless

I don't get it either... A G42 / G43 (any Glock) field strip is pretty simple. Reassembly is, well, just the reverse...
