Glock announces new Glock 19X

No practical application for this new Glock. It was designed for the military and they didnt get the contract. Glock is trying to make a buck on the engineering that they have already done.

Not saying its going to be a bad pistol, but especially here in NYS with a 10 round limit the bigger grip on the shorter slide may not make practical sense. That being said there are 2 popular pistols that a lot of guys love that have the similar proportions like the ppq and vp9.

these arent event he MHS trial guns, they are selling those as well (they have stupid thumb safety one it) these are shit we spent a tone of money on R&D and all we came up with was this G19 slide in a bin and changed the G17 frame molds a little ...... but now we need to make up for that lost capital since the army said no thank you

Glock is going to be Glock and fail to inovate and continue to ignore consumer feedback. I'm all for don't fix what isn't broken but stagnation is death and Glock no longer has a lack of competition. Pretty much every arms manufacturer offers a polymer framed compact handgun and a good number are as good as a G19 and a select few are arguably better.

The 19x is a sign the company realizes this, and is giving into pressure from civilian consumers. The interest might be low here but I know several people who have already called and told their LGS to order them one.

Glock has no need to innovate, the aftermarket support negates any need for glock to do anything other than push out guns.

Again why innovate when 95% of innvations going into guns are gimmicky at best or really don't do anything.

What did the m&p 2.0 innovate? Nothing they just fixed issues with the 1.0 versions
