Glock frame problem? (PIC)

Noticed this just now as I clean my new G21 after its first time on the range. The polymer looks like it's almost. carved away exposing steel beneath. I checked my other Glocks and none have this. The frame is still strong as new. Is this an issue? Any ideas? Maybe I'll send the picture to Glock as well depending on what you guys say.

Opened my G27 to look and saw nothing similar only enough dirt to make me feel embarrassed.

PS I do have a couple of “pig nose” Glocks.

Your good, looks normal, must be some sort of reinforcement in the polymer. Never paid it any attention myself.

Thanks guys. Must be a design only on full sized models. I didn’t think they would let it leave the factory that way if it was wrong but ya never know.

Heres my gen 4. Looks like i can see a faint metal ring that looks like it goes up to the rails. Not the same as yours but there is something there.

I sent the pic to Glock. I’ll let ya know what they say. I’m sure it’ll be along the lines of “it has no effect on the gun”.

Got an email back from Glock. It’s normal.
