It's the Legislature way: Make up Laws, Rules, and Regulations about shit which they know nothing about...they've been doing it for years and use it as political capital when running for re-election. Anti-Gun Groups write this shit up, hand it off to their Representative or whoever they own with instructions to get it passed or not to count on their financial support when their term is up for renewal.
I'll bet you Lunch that if you ask them specific questions about the Bill that they'll divert, distract, and tell you "it's in there, you just have to read it" anything except give you the answer to the question....Un-Constitutional? Apparently being one of the most restrictive states in the country is not good enough for NY. I have no doubt that some legislators would not be happy until all firearm and related equipment is permanently banned in the state. When we look at the raw data however, we see that a nearly equal amount of people perish each year in motor vehicle crashes relative to firearm related deaths. I tried searching but couldn't find anything, anyone know the proposed bill that would ban the sale of Chevy and Ford in NY ?

They just want to clog up the courts with cases. That's all. They aren't as stupid as you think. It takes years to get these cases to SCOTUS. This year that court could rule on a couple of cases in the country that removes the SAFE act and a bunch of other BS legislation around the country. In preparation, the legislatures in these states will have new laws in place ready to go. In this case, banning the sale of semi autos. Even a broad ruling on current cases might not explicitly cover sales. One could purchase in another state. Yes it is ridiculous but that is the way they play the game. They have no regard for any ruling that doesn't go their way.

I didn't watch the video and don't know if it was mentioned but this isn't just a glock ban. The wording in the bill makes it all semi autos.
All handguns in NY are illegal unless they are on a license. In essence they have already banned an entire class of firearms.
