GLOCK LAWSUIT?

Glocks are popular in the criminal world for the same reason that 9mm is so popular with criminals......rap music and young black culture.
If you had a nickel for every time glock or 9mm is mentioned in a rap song, you could comfortably retire.
I'm getting really sick of not being allowed to talk about what the real problem is.
14% of the population commits over 50% of the violent crime.
There are hundreds of videos on youtube of someone interviewing young guys in inner cities. Almost all of these uneducated dropouts have 2 things in common....they have multiple children and they all are strapped. They have zero education, zero social skills, can barely speak English, but they ALL have 9 babies with 9 different whores....and they all carry glocks.
The question should be.....where are they getting the glocks? When there are 14 felons who all have the same make of handgun, something is going on. None of them have a Ruger, or a Smith, or a Sig, nope.....all glocks.

1st, Glocks are cheap, and Glock 3D printing is easy peasy!
But to your post... THAT subject, ie, the Prison population demographic representation! How one demographic in this country is responsible for a majority of the VIOLENT crime... Then move on to those Big Blue city education systems that have 50% or better dropout rates. English and Math Proficiency so low, places like Seattle have dropped basic proficiency for graduation... Places like Baltimore have ridiculously low levels of students being able to read and write let alone count without fingers!
Nobody will talk about it... Especially the Prisons. They'll cry about disadvantage, cry about needing more handouts when they do. They won't ever talk about the CULTURE of that demographic that produces this mess. And yes, the broken home, single parent epidemic that's been around since before the Moynihan Papers that began the whole Affirmative Action program! That didn't work so they added some steroids to it and called it DEI! That won't work either!
Is great to see our Executive try and bring jobs home. Manufacturing and more, but who the hell is going to man those lines? Those machines?
Again, the culture is the problem. Why work when if you have enough kids you'll get enough assistance to live. Can't count the cars and SUV's I can't afford being driven around by an apparent gangbanger with a $2k sound system booming.
It's all good though, because hey, Palestine is being fucked by Israel right. And Trump is Hitler incarnate, blah, blah, blah... The LEFT can always find more noise to throw out there to distract those weak minds easily!

There are guys in their late teens and 20s that honestly believe that ANY black auto loading handgun is called a glock. Even if they do have a HI Point, they call it a glock.....seriously.
My point is, I believe this may be why politicians are targeting glock. Their only dealings with these thugs are watching videos like I've seen where the thugs mention glock all the time.
Honestly, the reason the politicians are fixated with glocks are because glock is the best selling handgun. Just like ARs are the best selling rifle. Nowhere near the "deadliest", but the most popular.
Either way, glock is screwed. The US politicians have them in their sights and will not back off.
Even if glock were to cave and change the design of their guns, the politicians will not back off. Their only option may be to spend millions of dollars defending themselves until they eventually fail. With all the glock clones and better options, threatening to stop selling to law enforcement won't work either.
Now that "glock is bad" is being instilled into the ignorance of the American people, glock may be done.......in my opinion.

Absurd, they force us to carry concealed yet want to sue a manufacturer for being too concealable. When this case is thrown out the platiff needs to be on the hook for all 9f the defenses legal fees, punitive damages, etc...

Glocks are popular in the criminal underworld for the same reason 9mm is............ That is that Glock is one of the most ubiquitous handguns in the world, possibly the most widely used (at least at some point) by governments and militaries globally. The same or with the 9x19 round. Not saying that the glamorization of thug or gangsta life doesn't play a part in advertising these things, but the simple fact is the reason these things are used so often is that they are everywhere and have been for decades.
True. But as I said above, Glocks were one of the first polymer handguns to exist and Gaston got it right. They are relatively cheap, light, and they work well, the rest of the firearms industry played catch up for decades in the polymer striker -fired handgun markets. I agree that anything that is black and polymer is called a 'Glock' no matter the make or model, not only by the thug lifers, but also by the media as well. Much like any semi auto rifle is either an 'AR-15' or 'AK-47'. It has almost become the generic term for that genre of handgun much like "Kleenex" or "q tip".
One of the reasons "Glock Switches" are theoretically so popular is they work on the the most prevalent handgun in the world akin to buying speed parts for a small block chevy or using a Toyota Hilux for paramilitary "technicals".

I honestly believe the inner city thugs don't put this much thought into their gun of choice. They have no clue what cops use, they have no clue how reliable glocks are, no clue about military......... Back in the 1980s NWA mentioned glock in almost every song.....the rest is history.
They call highpoints Glock for crying out loud.
To them "Glock"= synonymous with any striker fired, polymer frame pistol that shoots any caliber.
So: "yo get teh Glocks" could literally mean: excuse me sir, please bring the SW m&p shield, the high point yeet cannon, sig p365 and the Walther ppq.
Hell let's be real I bet some of them even call 1911s or m9s Glocks.

I believe that Glocks are popular with gangs not because they necessarily like Glocks. I think it's because Glocks are extremely popular in the 'legally owned' world, meaning there are lots of Glocks available to steal. I seriously doubt most gang members are going to the local gun shop to purchase a Glock (or any other firearm or ammunition).
That was my point in my other post, they call all auto loader handguns glock.
But, there are videos on youtube that show 99% of the thugs have actual glocks......with 33 round magazines.
The point @jimc makes below is valid I believe. Being that glocks are so popular with gun owners, they are the most stolen....which is the way the majority of thugs get their guns.
