Glock Parts Freeze

I was on the phone with someone at Glock today getting some information and the guy let me know that they are no longer selling any parts online because they need every part available to pump out as many new pistols as possible. This gun/ammo shortage has just begun I think. We may not have even hit bottom yet. I can't even order simple $3 magazine parts now.

Well I just ordered 3 more mags on top of the 8 I have coming for my glocks.

Yesterday I was in a Glock Advance Armorers class getting re-Certified and our instructor got an email saying the same thing , Any agency can still order repair parts but as an advanced armorer I currently can NOT order parts directly from Glock until further notice. Is the weighting on the wall, What is going on. Cant get guns, cant get ammo, now we cant get parts to build or repair guns

I’ve always wanted to take the Glock Armorers class but whenever I’ve seen it it’s only available to LE. I just want it for my own knowledge and thing it would be fun. I know anyone can take it but I just have to find a setting open to the public. Owning 8 Glock’s should qualify me

I am a member of GSSF Beside being able to go out an shoot GSSF matches and win guns and money,Also as part of my membership I am allowed to take classes, Some of the classes are normally restricted to LE . They have 3 armorer classes . 1 is a one day armorers class where you learn some history of glock , the 3 safeties and the firearms operation and then how to disassemble and reassemble .

The next class is a advanced armorers class where you really dig into it operations and what effects what. you have to pass 3 exams to graduate. Part of a test is inspecting 30 guns with know problems and having to diagnose the problem , some of the problems are broken parts ,incorrect parts, parts that BUBBU improved, or just worn out or out of spec parts. I recommend the first class to every one who really wants to understand how this fire arm works so well . you can only take the the second class after taking the first class and then getting 2 years experience in servicing glocks. this is my 3rd time taking this class you have to re-certify every 5 years, and after taking this course, Every glock I look at I automatically remove the barrel and check for obstructions and buldges ( drop the barrel thru the hole in the slide ) I am always surprised how many budged barrels I find.

Last class is on the G18 and that is only for special people to take.

After my first class I was allowed to order 2 glocks a years at a discounted price from glock shipped direct to a FFL , it was stoped in early 2010 or so because the dealers were mad we were buying at the same price they were . I am still able to purchase 2 discounted glocks per year thru a LE dealer (almost the same as a LEO)
As every one knows there are thousands of videos on line how to repair glock but I feel this class was worth every penny I paid. I am a strong believer in paid instruction to better our selfs and enrich our knowledge . I feel if your not learning your nor growing, if your not growing then you have to be schrinking , I want to grow .

We’re fucked boys. This will be bad for some time. We’re looking at years. My guess is two years of ever. I hope this is a turning point of people waking the fuck up. I know I’m hopeful but it’s unlikely.
I hope it’s part because of the corona because I just heard the same thing with car parts but who knows. Get what you can now because Biden and/or Cuomo will make this illegal soon enough.
