This is kind of ironic in that Glock has been sued for allegedly selling unsafe handguns.
For special ops, marine recon I wish they'd of stuck w/the Glock 21 with a 13 round .45. For air crews, sidearms, 0311 type application the 9mm 15-17 round application is probably not too shabby.
What surprises me is the old 1911 and M9 platforms were used because of the safety, the basis for adopting the Beretta, old feature of the 1911.
In trained hands, the Glock 19 is a nice KISS device.
Shame, I was really interested in their 'M&P 2' line being rumored.. I don't have a fullsize handgun (aside from my 1911) and was waiting to see what they came out with. I'm tempted to get a Glock 19, but like I've said before on NYF, when 10-round magazines cost more than 'standard capacity' it pisses me off to have to go that route..
