Going to buy guns in the morning

I have a Ruger Wrangler .22 LR/.22 Mag, but mine is a matte silver with black grips (standard not birds head). Love it, kids love it, one of the best gun purchases I’ve made. Haven’t launched any .22 Mag yet, but I’m sure it won’t disappoint.

I have never own this type of grip. Fits pretty decent.

I shot about 50 rounds through it in the yard when we got home, nice feel.

Shot CAS for a about 5 years around CNY...we may have crossed paths once upon a time.

Cowbay action was great fun.

My first pistol (2006) was Ruger Single Six 22lr/22magnum, this thread got me thinking I should take it out as its been awhile! @GOPerfect enjoy..

Last year I was in the area and walked around SMGW and Bud's Guns next door... maybe it was bad timing on my part but I was disappointed in the ammo selection.

Bud's Guns has a rental range with windows so you can see from the store floor - decent insulation but you can still hear people shooting. I happened to look up when a shooter turned away from a bay holding his gun (a big no-no, must load/unload with case in bay). A Range Safety Officer rushed over to assist. Window is likely ballistic rated but still... I decided I'd seen enough, ha. (was also once flagged by someone at Bass Pro Shops who was checking if his carry gun would fit in a particular holster... since I was also carrying I decided it wasn't a good idea to get into an argument so just left)

Anyway.. loved the Knoxville and Pigeon Forge area, so much to see and do. Big fan of Dollywood, I do enjoy country music but not so much of Dolly's stuff, but the park is very fun. Don't think I have pictures handy, but the wife and I made knives out of railroad ties at a forge inside Dollywood (when it's already 90+ degrees and you are feet away from a forge..... many Dippin Dots were consumed that day).

I've owned Single-Six's over the years, great revolvers, made Ruger the Company it became...
Sold a Birds Head Wrangler at the Show: seemed like a nice enough Revolver while demonstrating it...
I expect they're better than the Heritage (which I own one)...I like 'em, but it's a PITA to zip through six rounds of .22LR then spend the next two minutes reloading it, when the MK-I holds 10.

I've been through there twice and both times were before/after hours....SHIT!
Oh well, at least we made Buckee's...(Wife was blown away!, OK, I was too.)

One of my "first" revolvers was a H&R 949...Rabbit killer for sure!
Still have one...in fact, I might just go out and shoot it now.

The 777 is an adjustable sight single action target pistol with factory tuning. Few were made iirc.

We looked at a few houses in Dandridge. We really like the outskirts of Newport.

Do you go tot he big gun show in Knoxville when it is there?
