Yes, since about 2016. Its legal to posses and to use for legitimate purposes, but illegal to use it unlawfully. A sensible person would think that assaulting anyone with any device would be enough of a charge. Oh no, here in the evil empire its an additional charge to commit a crime with a machete, but then of course be released bail free.

Two separate people received a blow each from a machete and two shots fired upon the assailant but apparently everything is fine. No mention of injuries at all, nice reporting. I think these types of reports might be computer generated.
This is not a funny incident. I read this story at a few other places and the comedy and jokes are near disgusting.
The concealed firearm carrier was not proficient in his technique at all. He either dropped his gun or it fell out of the holster, he had to retrieve it in order to use it.
People need to learn to take away their feelings and their empathy of others. This attack was brutal, but the life saving techniques were sad to say the least.
Eyes, throat, balls, knees, ears. This was a fight that should have ended in some serious and long lasting disfigurement of the black animal with the machete.
Take a body hit if necessary with the blade... Use your thumbs and pop out his eyes. Side smash his knees till they snap. Grab an ear and removes it from his body. Use the mouth and teeth and rip out his throat.
This man was very lucky, not skilled. Not willing to destroy the body and soul of another human being. He will not live long when the apocalypse comes.
