My 11 year old is becoming quite the fisherman. He has out fished me the last three times. One was just sunny’s But the other was the caught a bigger bass than me and just today he caught this nice trout.

He bugs me all the time to go(not a bad thing) so I bought him a medium/light ugly stick and a cabelas bargain cave pfluger president reel. Great deal by the way and he loves it.

So this is his dinner tomorrow.

He was going on and on about dad is that a nice fish, it was fighting so hard, is it a big trout. He gets cocky, that’s his personality. He’s always been that way. He has a great heart for animals, smaller children, and those with disabilities. He has some learning disabilities and a brain disorder. Actually how accurate he is with his casts should be basically impossible for him.

I’m very proud of him for what he can do and has accomplished. I think he will be able to lead a normal Life as he grows. My only concern is he wants to be a border patrol agent and I do t see that being allowed with his medical history.

Cooked it up for him today and said are you going to eat all of it. He said well yeah!! I asked if I could have a little taste like 3 bites and he agreed. He was eating it as fast as I could plate it for him. He loves it. I think his life mission is to get his brother to fish and eat them.

We were really worried about him. We said up until a few years ago if we keep him from being a felon we have succeeded. Now he’s a great kid. It was very frustrating at times, but my wife and I stuck together and seeked the helpmof professionals. Funny thing is we were always told keep doing what your doing. Your doing the right thing and it will pay off. Well it’s starting to for sure. He has grown a lot this year.

Thanks. I’ll take him fishing again this week. Then we are going to Sampson state park for the weekend. I’m sure we will fish a lot there too.

It’s the genessee river, but it’s right on the NYS PA boarder so more of a larger creek. Yes it’s a male brown trout and his lip was just starting to turn up. Nice sized about 14”. I love trout. He was going on and on about how beautiful it was. I was worried he wouldn’t want to eat it then.

It is a nice looking Brown, They are always prettier from a creek, stream, river. Than ones in open lakes I think.

Absolutely. I love Brooke’s and juvenile rainbows too.

Baby rainbows from this native creek by me sparkle like diamonds. They are only 6”, bit I don’t mind catching them just for a peek. I get some 18-24” browns out of there in the fall too. Now that’s fun. I’ve only caught small bows out of there or big browns. Only one or two in between sized fish of either species. It’s a weird creek. There are also 4-6” crayfish in there too. Biggest I’ve wver seen.

My oldest loves fishing as well. Caught this one all on his own (baited the hook, and removed the hook as well)

Nice bass. We’re supposed to go tonight, but my son ate too much garbage and is now sick. Oh well. I’ve got tons of shot to do around the house anyway.
