So my 'rents (the people I live in the basement of and all that hilarity) got to the point in their permit process that they needed to have a gun on layaway before they got their permit.
I took them to my favorite gun store, and explained to the salesman that they wanted a subcompact single stack, based on years (yeah...years...they take a while) of research (and me explaining.)
They employee was very nice, and only talked out of his element once or twice. I know Glocks have 3 passive safeties. (I take mine apart to the bone on a regular basis...need that Armorer's course before I use the term officially) They wanted (and I hate, but it's not for me) an ACTIVE safety.
And today they put 50% down on each a S&W M&P Shield 40 and a Ruler LC9s 9mm, in Neptune coloring.
Damn that Neptune is nice.
