Reposting from you-know-where because now I'm here
Years back when doing an amendment in Wayne County, I filled out the application for exemption from public disclosure of pistol permit information. Just got a letter that used a lot of words to explain that the exemption has been approved, Judge Kehoe's business card with my name an "Exemption Approved" on the reverse, and a list of all the gun clubs in Wayne County.
I am curious if this means anything. Is the judge trying to get ahead of something he thinks might be coming? Some fresh New York State nonsense? Seems strange to get it now, after some time - I thought when I submitted the form years back, it would have been processed in a timely manner and filed away - I didn't expect that I'd get a card and letter. The letter said to keep the letter and card - wonder why they felt they needed to say that?
Why the inclusion of a list of local clubs? Trying to promote training?
