Thank you I would absolutely be interested in going once this protest stuff has settled down. I’ve been looking for a club to join that isn’t dominated by the fudd attitude (no more than one shot per second, no long distance range beyond 100 yards, wood and steel only guns, etc) I take a very serious attitude towards safety but don’t see the problem with taking 2 or 3 rapid shots etc.
The problem I have with glock is that everything they make is just a different version of the same basic pistol design. The two that I have shot had mushy triggers which seems to be common. I know people rave about reliability in regards to glock. However in the year 2020 I have the expectation that a firearm made using modern materials, modern assembly and modern design SHOULD be reliable. It’s like when people buy a brand new car and brag that it’s reliable. Well of course it should be reliable. I expect that. To me bragging about an item doing what it should do is kind of silly. I expect a firearm to be reliable as well as offer something more like , greater capacity, better ergonomics, better trigger, lighter weight, etc when compared to the competition
I'd agree with this. Stick to the major manufacturers, and shouldn't be any problems.
Then gen 5 is better but I have never felt a striker fire trigger I wouldn't replace but. They go boom everytime rain or shine. I shoot all weekend cheap shit to expensive stuff reloads to surplus. Zero malfunction and never cleaned the only issue where with a filthy aftermarket Magazine. It was so dirty the follower got stuck and would take anymore rounds then wouldn't push them back up.

Never had one, but did consider them at one point. Their qc seems to be hit or miss, for this reason, I decided against it.
Yeah about 15-20 years ago I had a few. A p10-45 for my quest for the smallest 1911, as well as a C7-45 (I think). The first a single action and the second one was a LDA (light double action). Neither were very reliable with hollow points. Had a P12-45 that ran like a top. Too bad I got rid of it but mags were very expensive, and back then I wanted more bells and whistles, like extended thumb safeties and better grip safeties. Replaced it with a Kimber Compact, great gun back then.
As long as it’s pointed down range neither do I. Issue is in indoor ranges assholes shoot up the mechanisms that operate the targeting systems. That’s why that’s banned in most places.
Wow that’s a smoking deal. I’ve seen them twice that price. I have a para ordinance P-12 and love it. 3.5” double stacked .45. I shoot it fantastic. Finish on them sucks so if you plan to carry it plan on cerakote. You can likely run it off with your finger honestly. I carried it a few times and finish runs right off.
I’ve not been overly thrilled with any of my rugers. I personally like the 3.6” 1911 in 9mm but have held off. I have issues with my 10/22 but seems to be resolved after a longer than expected break in period. My SR-22 was basically rebuilt by them. It ran 40-50% of the time and that’s it. My LCPII has been flawless but the slide rusted and now the mag release is rusting. It’s not 2 years old. I do carry it but it’s made to be carried so??
