Well I want to Walmart Wenesday and they were having a sale on Arrows and Bolts, 1-3 bucks (50-90% off), so naturally I spent way too much grabbing all that worked for my crossbow and compound bow. Then my wife texted me yesterday and said a package arrived in the mail. I finally replaced the CE timer that I donated to my club in Germany back in 2001 and picked up some much needed brass. Too bad I will have to wait a while until I can use any of it.
Not normally. Usually I look at the flash holes to see if they need deburring and I drop one or two into the headspace gauge to see where they fall. I normally just load them up after that. The next loading they will get the complete once over.
Hornadys brass is about on par with winchester. The price of their "match" brass is ridiculous, in the price range of and not even close to Lapua quality. Hornandy Marketing is far superior then the quality of there products.
Lapua is supose to be releasing small primer 6.5CM first quarter of this year. I don't get the obsession with small primers these days.
Someday I hope to get a bolt action Savage Axis rifle (target shooting only for now)
I've been doing some research on the 6.5 Creedmoor and the Rem. .260.
I notice the Creedmoore cost less per rd. than the .260, even though the Rem been out 10 yrs before (1997 vs 2007)
May just end up getting .308 win. Cheapest of options above .223 Rem.
