Got tons of 9mm and .357 today, no limits.

My wife found a bunch of federal ammo for sale today in a North Jersey shop today. She brought home 10 boxes of 50 rounds 9mm luger 100 grain, and 6 boxes of 50 rounds of .357 158 grain. Both made by federal, the 9mm was those green boxes, and .357 were red boxes, felt like Christmas.

My point being that it seems like certain calibers are returning in stock. Odd thing though there was no 5.56 or .223, but they said they are getting that in on Monday.

Only 6 months ago, this same shop barely had any handgun calibers, and when they did, it was limited too only 2 boxes per person. Today, not only did they have tons of it, but there was no box limits. My wife said she could have bought even more if she wanted.

Good that it's available. But, I'm not buying until we get to no more than $0.25/9mm round ($12.50/box).

If you need it and that’s the only place you can get it then that’s the price you pay I guess. No harm in that.

Local place had a bunch of 9mm today. $30 a box. I was glad to see that they still had some on the shelf which means people aren’t just buying it at any price anymore. They also had a ton of 223. $17 a box. Again, sitting on the shelf is a good thing. I didn’t buy any cuz I’ve seen it much cheaper at other places. I will likely jump on the first boxes of 38 special I see tho regardless of price.

My father in law just laid $0.75/round for .380. All he had to do was ask and I’d have sold him a few boxes for half of that. He’s brought it up a number of times but never tells me he wants it. Oh well he has $3-4million in the bank he can afford it.
