Never owned one what's the fair market value of these thinking about purchasing my first what should I lookout for
Refurbished hurts the historical value. It is a 1911 not the A1 variant because it does not have the scallops on the frame behind the the trigger.Don't know historical providence other than it's been refurbished I believe guy has well over 30 in his collection

I'm sure there's tons of 1911 in circulation I would be happy with a reliable shooter.Refurbished hurts the historical value. It is a 1911 not the A1 variant because it does not have the scallops on the frame behind the the trigger.
This one is about half of 3k
This one is at auction for 3k
The one you pictured doesn’t seem to have the Arsenal marks on the frame. I have no idea about the value but I would venture a guess over 1k for that specimen.I'm sure there's tons of 1911 in circulation I would be happy with a reliable shooter.
He said it was a colt frame there seems to be a mark above the mag button. The one you pictured doesn’t seem to have the Arsenal marks on the frame. I have no idea about the value but I would venture a guess over 1k for that specimen.
Yes I saw a very faint mark, but couldn’t tell what it was.He said it was a colt frame there seems to be a mark above the mag button.
He has a few other C&R I might end up making a bundle and lowering price.Yes I saw a very faint mark, but couldn’t tell what it was.
My first center fire handgun was a '44 Remington Rand 1911. Also paid 400 for it. Of course I promptly put another $1500+ into it making it a bullseye gun lol.I picked up one a year ago, 1940ish Remington Rand for $400. if some previous owner hadn't have made the STUPID mistake of Nickle plating it would've been worth 4 or 5 times that. Oh well makes a nice shooter.
I'm going to try to avoid doing that and I'm pretty sure I can restrain myself. My first center fire handgun was a '44 Remington Rand 1911. Also paid 400 for it. Of course I promptly put another $1500+ into it making it a bullseye gun lol.
They certainly made a nice billboard out of that slide.Don't know historical providence other than it's been refurbished I believe guy has well over 30 in his collection

Yeah that's just one side looking at a Spanish Star B also similar to 1911 other than trigger and no grip safety and not 45cal they're 9mmThey certainly made a nice billboard out of that slide.
