Even though the state government asked thousands of people to come to New York from out of state to help fight coronavirus, they will have to pay New York state taxes, even on income they might make from their home states that they're paid while in New York.

This is my problem with the situation. Unlike many here, I think taking this seriously was the right call.
However, I don't agree that we've made a serious effort to reopen -- and we have to reopen. The effort should've immediately shifted to "how do people work given this reality." Not just "let's throw money at it" like the typical liberal mantra.

Certainly taking this seriously was the right call. Wearing masks should have been the first response, not shutting down businesses. This is just another type of flu virus which normally kill thousands during its run according to CDC figures of past flu seasons.
