This is not new news. What is proposed is on a NICS check instead of the 3 day automatic proceed on a delay its upped to 10. For the bulk majority of us this will not be any change on how we buy.
It will only deter impatient mass murderers who don't already posses a firearm.

NICS stops their investigation after 3 days. They aren't going to do anything for the last 7 days. They aren't going to find anything on day 4 because they will have stopped looking.
