Every single elected Republican is on our side, with out you being alerted. I know I AM WADING INTO THE WEEDS HERE, BUT, HERE GOES. This information is EVERYWHERE. So if everyone doesn't get an "action alert" memo on every musing by democrats we are all suspect? Hardly.
FACTS: Other than lawsuits and elections no amount of citizen activism can help right now in NY. How many of you are signed up at NYSRPA.org for our email blasts? Because we alert everyone when it matters.
FACTS: Currently we (PRO GUN ADVOCATES) simply don't have the numbers in the legislature. Democrats currently run NY and they have a super majority, that is the POLITICAL reality Jacob. Until WE change that? Nothing WE can do other than Lawsuits and win Some Elections!

Its a waste of time and money to beg democrats' to preserve our rights, their STATED agenda is to strip us of our rights Jacob! Think a better informed public will do something about it Jacob? This is something that NYSRPA could be doing, but doesn't (I'm looking at you, @Carl Gottstein , publisher of the magazine that consistently hits my mailbox a month or two late!)

In theory that sounds great.
In practical application and experience it's become a fools errand.
Many republicans and nearly all Democrats immediately cave to a vocal minority who virtue signal for the sake of political optics so they can claim in a campaign ad "we did something".
They have no problem at all whoring out our rights to retain and consolidate their power politically and economic enrichment from continued reelection and special interest money.
Sorry but the system is broken. It's easier to just ignore it or move out to a free state like TN where there is 0 % chance of anything happening there. And if it's at the federal level places like that will collectively ignore it.
