One had brass knuckles, perhaps.
Maybe grandpa should have paid more attention to the kids and steered them away from a life of crime.
I doubt that I would have shot them but not knowing the circumstances one might deem that the propper action to take.

Not this Ol' guy!! If 3 thugs come in my house, I'm settling it, in my favor. I'm 64 y/o, I'm not into fighting anyone, if something like this happens to me, I'm ending it post haste, with any "means" I have available to me!! Oh, I might add, that living down here allows me to have WAAAAAY more "means" than 1 could imagine!!

This isn't a gentleman's fight, Queensberry rules bs. This is three people arms breaking into someones home, this is I am fighting to live, anything goes, use whatever is at hand to do the job. Had this guy used a claymore, I would be ok with it.

They broke in, they were armed, no doubt they had ill intent, bludgeoning with brass knuckles is a particularly brutal death. They absolutely got what they deserved.
