Great Inexpensive Knife Sharpener

i thought for the price i cant go wrong, but i am amazed. it had sharpened everything form EDC blades to my kitchen knives. I have No serrated knives so i dont know about those.

I don't have this particular sharpener, but I like all of the Lansky sharpening products. In terms of simplicity, value and results, Lansky is hard to beat.

Make sure your fingers are as far away from the rods as possible while maintaining a firm, controllable grip on the base.

I bought a Lansky kit with the base/holder years ago. I basically have a single hunting knife, a Buck sheath, and man, what an edge I put on that knife using the kit. Then we got an electric sharpener for all our knives and the Lansky stuff has been in the tool chest for years. I'll get around to selling it eventually...there's a bunch on Ebay.

I use a Chefs choice sharpener. I have a Lansky, actually I have two. One has the diamond stones. I got tired of spending HOURS sharpening all my knives and axes.

I got the Chefs Choice and have not looked back. I can get my knives stupid sharp (as my wife puts it) My wife actually cut the very tippy end of her thumb off with the kitchen knives I sharpened.

I like the satisfaction of sharpening by hand, but I like getting the job done as well

I've been using the Ken Onion Work Sharp.
Couldn't be happier.

Out in the field with no electric, Lansky rods would rule supreme. At home, no comparison with regard to ease and results.
