Haven't see such results here, yet. The suit that has moved the rest of the country towards more 2A-accomodating policies was predicated on bad New York policies. That said, New York's totalitarian administration has doubled down on giving both middle fingers to the SCOTUS decision and the administration keeps screwing New York's law-abiding citizens.
Normally we would suggest that people get out and vote in representatives who would present such a bill.
Funny I just commented that this needed to be challenged in court. Well I guess we are there and this is great. No permit needed, well then no training is needed, and we can ditch all this other bullshit NYS is now requiring.
The TRO issued today and goes into a effect 3 business days from now is proof , the beginning of their end is here.
We will see how the appeal is handled. It’s a step but we’re not out of the woods yet.
It’s the beginning. I do expect the 2nd circuit to overturn some things in his decision— just because they are bias but some will stand . Then it’s appealed up. Baby steps but still steps forward.
So...it'd get reviewed by SCOTUS in a decade? And, possible refused a hearing?
Eventually but the court decisions in between will chip away at the CCIA law. It’s the same way the seven round limit was gotten rid of. The case law crested keeps them from reintroducing that. It will be the same with this law.
I’m not sure it will take a decade. The Supreme Court will pick this up quickly I think. I think they will be passed they were so blatantly defied.
