Most experienced backcounty hiking/camping people are pretty liberal, granola types from what I've seen.

RVers tend to be on the conservative side. That is not real camping IMO.

Been like that at Bash Bish Falls all summer.The place exploded with people from NYC end of June.Groups of 60 or more dragging carts,coolers picnic gear BBQ's all of which are prohibited.The mess they were leaving was off the hook.They finally posted Troopers and Sheriffs at all the roads leading in to make sure they werent bringing coolers etc and cutting off entry when the lots were full.Its quieted down since Labor Day but is still busier than before the covid cooties hit.

I hiked and camped quite a bit when I was young and healthy. Got kind of tired of sleeping in the woods my last couple of years in the National Guard. I still like to hike, and lunch on a rock ledge or stream side is still very enjoyable, but I like supper at a table, a nice big bed to sleep in, and a Clean bathroom with hot water.
I’m limited to day hikes at 64.

The wife and I just did a nice 10 mile hike out of a lodge in PA. The woods by day the fireplace and Tylenol by evening.

I still like a good hike. Going up hill gets me winded but anything else I’m GTG. I love stream hikes.

Oh and I have a camper. The days of tents and cots have long passed me by!!

IMO, you'll have no problem finding a used twice model and 1st year depreciation is usually pretty brutal.
