I'm totally not one of those douche bags who says "But did you have to shoot?" or "couldn't you have just whatever..." when the guy was posing an imminent threat to the officer, but I'm not so sure about this one.

No weapon... Honestly, I don't like second-guessing other officers, but, as a retired officer, I think I would have been REALLY nervous about this shoot and how the investigation would play out... Watching the video, it doesn't seem like DPF was really necessary with 2 officers on the scene and no weapon ever displayed. That's what tasers and submission tactics are for.

Well, a normal everyday citizen would not have been in that situation to begin with.

If things were different, a civilan was in a similar situation and was nearly run over and than attacked the way the officer was, he would be fine under 35.
