GSSF and Glock Armorers Course

For the longest time I have wanted to take the Glock Armorers Course. I'm more than a little familiar with the platform, but want to experience that extra step. For some reason Glock only seems to offer this to LEO or some other "privileged" classes, or GSSF members.

Has anyone joined GSSF for this?

Any general thoughts on the course?

I took it as a GSSF member. It was a PITA to find a course location that wasn’t LEO only. Biggest advantage at the time to having taken it was the ability to buy parts straight from Glock. Not sure if the price difference between them and other sources are much different now.

bigger advantage to joining GSSF though is access to one discounted gun a year.

I forget the exact details but you should investigate. What turned me off was that you had to renew the armorers certification every few years for something like $300.
GSSF members get a certificate to purchase on gun a year at Blue label price. I could post the price list tomorrow.

Underwhelming I guess would be my reaction to those prices...

There’s not a ton of markup in a Glock to begin with. I think they are marked up about $40 and dealers have to follow their pricing structure. The Blue Label models are sold at a set price determined by Glock also.
