These Troopers get paid housing, a per-diem stipend for food, transportation, and all the OT they can eat.

Which the state actually probably really doesn't possess. They'll peel it off some pension fund or reduce services or increase cost to those who pay for them

They brought a perp into my precinct the other day and tried to just hand him off to us. We considered allowing it, but decided that if they are here to stay, we'd be setting a precedent. The Captain made them take him to court themselves (as they should have). Fyi, I cover the southernmost point in NY state. They couldn't possibly be further from where they belong.
