Gun bills on Albany Co. legislature’s agenda

Two gun control bills are on the Albany Co. Legislature’s posted agenda for their next scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 11: Proposed Local Law J, mandatory firearms storage, and proposed Local Law K, banning weapons from county facilities.

A public hearing will be held followed by regular legislative session at the Albany County Courthouse at 6:30pm.

Yes and I understand but also......"not to be infringed" that's been Constitutional destroyed by current laws. It seems Albany and hochul are satisfied with any law they make up and satisfied with the time delay and cost to the public to get it overturned. Then they just make a new one and the process repeats.

This is exactly why if any of us knows a gun owner that doesn’t VOTE, it is our duty to shame them to vote. A gun owner that doesn’t vote is worse than Kathy Hochul IMO And they might as well just hand their firearms over because they will never use them to protect shit.

Mandatory storage was shot down in McDonald, when the Supremes "incorporated" the Second Amendment to the states.

I put "incorporated" into quotes because it was actually the 14th Amendment that incorporated the Bill of Rights to the states, but that is a another topic of its own.

The problem in New York is that may "gun owners" are still Liberal Progressives who see firearms as a "hobby" and a "sport." They cannot conceive of individuals using firearms for personal protection, let alone national security.

The entire problem for cooperation to get anything done is..."if it doesn't affect ME: I can't be bothered" Long gun owners couldn't give a rats @$$ about carry laws and the rest are friggin ignorant. Most non gun owner's think black guns sold to the average Joe is an "assault rifle" and We can all thank the media and democraps for that. They don't know semi auto from full auto and don't know full auto guns have been illegal for almost 90 years, some exemptions apply.
