So I have for a while wanted a go pro or something similar to record hunts during deer season. Granted in all the years I've been hunting I've only taken 1 deer and last year I only saw 2 doe on the run so the videos would be hella boring.

Anyways I dont want to spend an arm and a leg and just found the Tactacam solo that I'm look into.

Does anyone else record their hunts or use tactacam? Or other options

I've never used either, I think a head mounted go pro would be better way to go. it records where you're looking not where your weapon is pointed. It also can be used for other things and has alot of mounting options.
I dont know the cost involved . just my 2c.

I also like the classes options that are out there now. I think I just like the size/mounting option of the tactacam..

Granted I'm looking at the "solo" cause for something that really wont get much use other than a few weekends in November/December I dont need to drop 500$

Oh I'll deff be looking into that, hell 4k and wifi at that price even if I get one season out of it that will be worth it

I have an action cam I used to mount on my paintball barrel during games. Lots of good footage (max 60 yards). It uses an 8GB micro SD card. I think I paid more for the mount than I did the camera.

I used to do the same thing but mine only ended up working for one tournament

then you will need video editing software to edit out the 20 mins from the deer walking in or crap like that ..
