Even before I got the job that I am in, I would push the envelope and carry open here in NY State. Sometimes I did it just to see what the reaction would be. I have carried in some pretty busy, people filled areas. I do not go to concerts and have never ridden on a train here in the States. I get your point. I do.

I just really hate all of these laws telling me what I can and cannot do. If I want to live dangerously, so be it. My choice!!!!

I really would love to see the stats on how many people have been robbed because the were OC'ing.

The chances of using your gun tomorrow are just as low as being robbed of it if open carrying.

My point is you carry it anyway regardless of the low chance of actually using it.

That same reason is why I would throw a T-shirt over it even if I had the choice to carry it open in public.

They did a piss poor job of concealing them and the criminal saw them. I clicked on three of the links and quit from clicking on more after reading the same thing in those three different articles.

I agree 100 percent however, you cannot be 100 percent aware of everyone around you in a crowded area. It's even difficult to do so in non crowded areas where you are forced to have people within arm's distance of you. IE, in line at a store, ect.

Do you know how many times I stood behind a cop bullshitting with the convenience store owner? I played the scenario in my head with that laughable Billy Club or Blackjack and I'm a good guy.

I've been agreeing to the legality thing all along.

I like the idea of the added comfort if in the woods hiking, doing yard work, ect.

Sorry I have to dispute this pot t also. With some training and experience one can spot a lot of concealed carries. Once spotted they can remove the gun from your person just as easily as open carry. The only advantage concealed carry is hoping the bad guy doesn't realize your armed.

I prefer concealed carry myself if only because I do not need some arsehats like the offender in question trying to grab my gun. Regardless of my preference for carry, I try to remain alert for such things but let's face it, when we carry no one is 100% alert for such a thing 100% of the time. So, I add a bit of technology in my favor, I rarely carry in a holster that uses friction as the only means of firearms retention. I like conventional thumb breaks but even better yet is the Redi-Lok that DeSantis uses on their Facilitator holster and at least on one older out of production model (the one I have).
