The stats are low. The stats are also low that you'll not use your gun tomorrow either in self defense.
you have better odds getting Zika or Hep-C than being robbed because you were OCingEven before I got the job that I am in, I would push the envelope and carry open here in NY State. Sometimes I did it just to see what the reaction would be. I have carried in some pretty busy, people filled areas. I do not go to concerts and have never ridden on a train here in the States. I get your point. I do.
I just really hate all of these laws telling me what I can and cannot do. If I want to live dangerously, so be it. My choice!!!!
I really would love to see the stats on how many people have been robbed because the were OC'ing.

The chances of using your gun tomorrow are just as low as being robbed of it if open carrying. So I should leave my guns at home?
When did I say that?
And being disarmed is a stupid scenario? Ask the guy in the OP's article or the off duty cop open carrying working security if it was a stupid scenario.
You aren't being honest with yourself.
Then I could disarm you no matter how aware you may think you are. While I'm waiting in line behind you playing with my phone and looking at the menu like any casual guy would be doing, a blackjack to the back of your head and it's mine.

Come on dude. I think highly of you. Now you aren't even being honest.No. Your incessant crappy "possibilities" are stupid. You just make shit up to argue.
Being hit by a meteor is possible too.
That's because I like to argue and post lies.@Willjr75 is sure hangin tough in this here thread..like a pitbull! And yet I had to chuckle hard at this post quote.lol.
And what's the common denominator in almost every single instance in those robberies linked in that Google Search?
But the chances of them knowing you have one and acting on taking it is a lot less if they don't know you have one by concealing it properly.open carrier robbed of gun - Google Search
I can do that as well.
It really is a moot point. Both ways of carrying a gun can be dangerous. The bad guys CANNOT be stopped all of the time.
Most of this goes to basics:
Situational Awareness.
Some have it, some don't.
I agree 100 percent however, you cannot be 100 percent aware of everyone around you in a crowded area. It's even difficult to do so in non crowded areas where you are forced to have people within arm's distance of you. IE, in line at a store, ect. Most of this goes to basics:

I've been agreeing to the legality thing all along. We can just leave this as it is then. Some like the idea of OC, some do not.
I love my freedom to chose what is best for me. I do not want any Government entity tell me how to carry my firearms.
We can agree to that?
Good retention holstrr would be good. Minimalize the chance of anyone grabbing it.
I think @Willjr75 should be a public defender. Drunk drivers count on you !
It would minimize it in a fight where you can hold your own and not get overwhelmed or drawn on first.Good retention holstrr would be good. Minimalize the chance of anyone grabbing it.

He wraps his head around something, he stays with it!
Only if there's truth to it.He wraps his head around something, he stays with it!
Bingo!Sorry I have to dispute this pot t also. With some training and experience one can spot a lot of concealed carries. Once spotted they can remove the gun from your person just as easily as open carry. The only advantage concealed carry is hoping the bad guy doesn't realize your armed.
