Just a question for someone with more smarts than me. What good is a CCW permit do if you can't carry where you want because of GFZ popping up?

Most gun free zones also ban knives. That doesn't mean pocket knives are useless.
Also, at least in NY, most "gun free zones" are just requests that hold no force of law, so stay armed and carry on. The main exceptions being government buildings, airports, and schools.
In airports inside security and courthouses inside a secured perimeter there should not be need for defensive action at least in theory.Just a question for someone with more smarts than me. What good is a CCW permit do if you can't carry where you want because of GFZ popping up?
Even the airports and other secure areas haven't "solved" the problem. In airports inside security and courthouses inside a secured perimeter there should not be need for defensive action at least in theory.
But all other pretending gun free zones are nothing but the antigun's version of modern human hunting fields where any lunatics or criminals can go and start murdering people w/o being challenged.
In other words, pretending feel-good gun free zones are a stupid idea and those places should be hold liable.
Everyone with a brain understands how stupid this is. Simple logic.
The dreaded "no guns allowed" sign is the private property owner giving rules for their establishment. It's not law. If however you are on private property (for example, Chucky cheese because they have these signs) and they (the private property owner with no guns allowed sign) notice you are carrying expect to be asked to leave. If they ask you to leave you must immediately comply or you can be charged with trespassing, and perhaps harassment or menacing depending on what story they tell the cop and what type of mood the responding cop is in.
This.
With a license you can carry pretty much anywhere except for gvt. Buildings (schools, courts, post office, etc..)
So that leaves 98% of places you go to as places you can legally carry.
