Use a decoy safe , not bolted down heavy enough to be a burden but movable, keep nothing in it but a dildo, gps tracker ,and a note that says your effed. 
There is alot of info out there videos of differnt safes and how well they are constructed, you get what you pay for .

Craigslist is another great place to look , I've seen large jewelers safes in there for free . Someone buys a house or store and just want this huge heavy metal box gone.

I like my Liberty safe.. it does have an electronic lock but hopefully won't have problems. I'm into it almost every day and changed the 9 volt after a year without problems. They have a great warranty that hopefully I'll never have to use..

If you get what you suggest, I will certainly have safe envy. Much of my insight is some more "me too" things. You picked out a nice safe but remember it will only slow motivated intruders down. That safe will, however, buy you more time than some other lesser choices. My firearms / accessories are protected in a couple much lesser safes (more for little visiting hands) that are in a locked area within a locked room. For the uninvited at my home there are also motion sensors and cameras (as well as pressure pads, thermal sensors and perimeter alarms ) on a UPS with wired and wireless notifications for motion outside the home, inside the home, and near the safe. Most of the time they will also have to pass armed family members and a large dog. At my son's place he could not get the safe he wanted (TOTL Liberty) in the location he wanted (away from an exterior wall) because the structural floor load would have been too high, so make sure you take that into consideration. Also try to structurally mount your safe to both horizontal (walls) and vertical (floor / ceiling) planes and if you can, and park the safe in a crowded area (e.g in a corner) to limit intruder working access. I have also seen issues where the floor storage area could handle the load but the stairs could not tolerate the load to get the safe upstairs. Best of luck and I hope you never need it.

I was always curious about bolting to the floor. Like my important papers safe I would have to drill holes in the bottom. Flood would get in, seems kinda stupid in my opinion to drill holes in the bottom no matter how you seal it there can still get water inside if basement floods.

I would avoid storing important papers or material below grade in a safe. Waterproof or resistant safes are generally advertised for shallow standing water with dead head pressures well under a few psi. Although it is easy to seal any penetration for this low pressure or incidental fire fighting spray, I would rather avoid the critcal need for reliable and effective continuous dehumidification or desiccant air flow in my safe. I would rather use the safe in a less harsh environment with a piece of mind of in-safe dehumidification. I know too many people with garage or cabin safes in Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas who have rusted up valuable steel weapons in spite of wiping down with oil and dehumidifiers. I have to admit that my unfinished basement is included in my whole house a/c to help protect some of my toys but after an attempted home break in I did not want gun safes conveniently placed near my other tools.

Do you guys also keep trigger guards on (or whatever the hell they're called) when guns are kept in safes? I've been on the hunt for something, but can't ever decide on the type of lock, keypad/key/combo, in-wall, freestanding, etc. Right now, I just have a closet dedicated to all firearm-related equipment and keep trigger guards/locks on everything. It is annoying, and I could see it being cumbersome in a home defense situation.

Trigger locks are only used on my coffee cups. I dont like anyone touching my cups.
If my gun is in a safe, why have a trigger lock on it.
Than again, the only guns that stay in my safe are those that I dont intend to shoot.

Liberty FatBoy, in basement, picked this after doing extensive research on fire rating, and security rating. Didn't go with digital lock , preferred the old combo style. Call me paranoid, but do you think the battery operated digital are going to open after an EMP, they will be fried. Have yet to build the concealing book case in front, but someday will happen.
