Gun safety in the movie Wind River

I was watching the movie Wind River and when the dad, Cory (Jeremy Renner), goes to pick up his son at his ex-wife's house, a quick lesson in proper gun safety occurs.

Hmm, that's different. There's usually all kinds of safety violations in every movie I watch.

Couple years ago we were at Jurassic World in the theater, and there was a scene where the main guy runs by with his rifle. I get a tap on the shoulder from my son, who's about 7 at the time, and he whispers in my ear in the middle of the movie, "Hey Dad.... he had his finger on the trigger.." I was so proud.

I read that he is a second amendment supporter just now, but I don't understand why he was in the video "demand a plan". I saw this video years ago and I wrote him off as a gun control supporter ever since.

I don't want to spoil it. That's a tense and important part towards the ending.

Great, under rated flic with a twist ending. Pretty brutal and the long haired guy is full blooded Commanche, was the deputy in "Hell or High Water I'm waiting gor it to come back

Yeah, and it's a Weinstein flic, which is probably why it is getting ignored in the awards. I think it was nominated for screenplay or cinematography. And don't ignore the fact that it's a "Guy Flic"
