District Attorney Alvin Bragg reversed a pair of his most controversial policies in writing on Friday with a new memo calling for commercial robberies committed with knives to once again be prosecuted as felonies.

Bragg’s memo to staff also said that holding up a store or other business with a firearm “will be charged as a felony, whether or not the gun is operable, loaded, or a realistic imitation.”

NOTE the word "commercial robberies".

I wonder how much money he got from Soros.

Been saying this for years. They almost never prosecute a gun crime and allow them to plea down to a lesser charge because of mandatory minimums and they want to avoid a trial. They should not be elected.

It’s worse than people know. Note that the big crime surge in NYC appears to be in Manhattan. That one DA is the Soros DA on steroids. He called for the maximum sentence for murder to be 20 years. He refused to prosecute for robbery unless it was a gun. A knife ? He would not prosecute for robbery. That’s how bad he is. His turn of policy now allows for prosecution of robbery with a knife now.
