The only reason this is even a question is because of how politicians, the media and Hollywood has positioned guns to the ignorant non gun owners. They are vilified and are portrayed as nothing but killing machines for criminals and crazy right wing nuts. It is relative to and a sad representation of the times we live in. Because of this gun owners are in a no win situation no matter what they do. No amount of "softening" will appease those that hate them and me for owning them. The swastika photo was taken months before at a Bernie protest and the guy holding the sign was a Bernie supporter. Fake news.
