Honestly, I think anything resembling a portion of a receiver, minus a bare block of aluminum, they will use "firearm casting...firearm receiver blank" as that pretty much covers everything. There's too many legitimate uses for a chunk (0%) piece of aluminum for them to do shit. As for the text of the bill, any jigs themselves will be legal, but ownership of an unserailized lower or whatever% lower will still be banned.What about a 70% lower though? Or a 60%? Or a block of aluminum the right size?
I’m being serious btw. A consumer can turn a rectangle of aluminum into a lower. Will that be legal; what if a company only sells jigs to mill these from scratch?
They are opening a can of worms banning materials and pre-guns.
The hell is all this about anyway. Most crims are too dumb to build a gun and ghost guns are hardly ever used in crime.
Controlling gun owners is the end game no matter what it takes.
