If it's natural gas on utility piping, that fuel source is just as susceptible as central grid power.

After reading those stories the follow up reports a few years back all said something to the time of "don't worry folks, nothing to see here, false alarm, move along and forget this..."

I didn't forget about them, I made a mental file to keep tabs on it.


Sounds like all those stories maybe had quite a bit more truth to them if it is now being leaked that Dragonfly 2.0 was actively hacking Our control systems and set up back doors etc


This can't be good. If nothing else it might be some third rate country's deterrent or black mail of "you better not attack us or we'll turn off the lights, so to speak"

Awesome. Maybe I'm not fully understanding these systems but why are the controls to these systems able to be hacked anyway? No reason for a power company to be jacked into the net. They worked just fine before the internet. Faith in humanity lost. Makes me think we'd all be much better off living like it's 1851.
