Learn how to solve the problem without going to gun, or how to survive an encounter when you can't get to, or do not have a gun. Learn how to use your brains and your body to avoid or counter attacks.

Join us for hand to hand self defense:
Warm up and strength training drills.
Striking pad work
Basic hand to hand drills
Blocking and striking
Use of hands and feet
Use of knees and elbows
Engaging multiple attackers
Situational awareness and street smarts
Knife defense and attacks
Stick defense and attacks
Use of “improvised weapons”
Survival mindset
What to look for.

Prerequisites:
None – Students should be able to move freely and semi quickly. While there is no formal training required to attend this class, it is to be understood that this is a physical class involving movement.

NOTE: This is a “contact” class. There will be some minimal physical contact made, in a controlled, educational setting with a focus on “street fighting”.

Equipment list:
Students should wear loose fitting athletic clothing
Fingernails and toenails should be well groomed
Please bring: one normal bath towel and one spare t-shirt or pants belt
Please also bring a note book with pen or pencil for note taking.
Refreshments and a light snack.
Humble willing to learn attitude.

If you have to cancel attending a course you are registered for you may opt to transfer to another course that has openings within the calendar year provided you give 72 hours notice of the cancellation. No exceptions.

I will not be attending, however, I wanted to say what a great class this could possibly be for those that have never trained before. (I have not attended any training here)

So many have no idea how to defend with hands, body and mind. In today's ever changing World, having even small doses of training can be a huge asset.

$50 for a three hour course is amazing. I have no dog in this hunt, but if you are able, go, get a bit of training.

I am rather a fan of self defense, a gun is not always warranted in defense, your hands, your body and your mind are always needed.

I took the class last night. It was definitely well worth it whether you have had training previously (I have had a little) or whether you are brand new. There were 8 of us total including the 2 instructors, Benjamin and Rachel. There was even a father and young son in attendance. We spent 3 hours talking and training. We paired up and went through drills. I definitely got a workout even though I am in shape. Heart rate was going pretty good. The information we learned was very practical and applicable for anyone to learn. These are things you never really think about but in this day and age are very important to do so IMHO.

Ben and Rachel are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They have a very good teaching style in explanation and demonstration. We got a lot accomplished in the 3 hours with no wasted time whatsoever. By the end of the night I realized how much I didn't know and how important this information was. $50 well spent indeed. I would highly recommend working with them. I was hoping to meet some other forum members but I was the only one from the forum there. Based on my experience I would love to take additional classes as well as firearm training classes with them as time and my schedule allows.

Thank you Ben and Rachel for doing such an awesome class and for making me feel at home as a first timer. I will be seeing you both at future classes. Do yourself a favor, let these two train you. It was well worth the time, driving (I live an hour away) and expense for what I learned.

Great review @Dr. Evil yeah, Rachel definitely carries Ben. Pretty sure he is just eye candy.

If folks haven’t had the opportunity to train with @OnSight Firearms Training , they are missing something valuable. They are a fantastic resource to avail yourself to. I’ve taken a few courses from them as well as done the private instruction thing with Ben. It’s all been good learning experiences.

I also took the class last night. One of dozens I have taken with Ben and Rachel of OFT. Meeting Dr. Evil as a powerful sparring partner convinced me to sign up on the forum, too.

Ben and Rachel frequently introduce self-defense and martial arts concepts into their firearm training courses. While they have trained me to become very proficient with firearms, I had no other skills to protect myself. This class was perfect for someone like me with no training and introduced me to the value of having hand-skills for self-defense. I plan to continue building these skills.

OFT offers the most practical firearm training for all skill levels. Over the last year, I have seen new shooters become very skilled in a matter of weeks and over-confident experienced shooters humbled by how much they did not know. Check out OFT and improve your skills.
