This is mainly targeted at people with 2+ homes, which isn't most people. Her idea is not something I particularly agree with.... however also it's nowhere near the claim that most people selling their home would be paying 44% on the profit.

There is lots of room to criticize her idea, no need to imply something different than reality while doing so.

You'd pay more taxes this way. A key isn't a primary residence and does not qualify for tax exempt status.
