I do not think this is going to go well for either side in the beginning.

And from that point on, hopefully, America will once again prosper and become the great country that I grew up in. But there's going to have to be a reckoning first. If you get my drift.

They are no longer trying to hide their plans. In fact, they are emboldened enough to the point where they are blatantly saying, "What are you going to do about it."

These taxes are, and have been, in place already. “The 44.6% tax rate includes a 5% increase on the general net investment income tax rate and a top tax bracket rate of 39.6%” Yes, its an increase, but its not a direct 44.6% taxation on capital gains. There are income thresholds, like an annual income of $1 million or investment assets over $400,00l. It’s not a blanket 44.6% long-term capital gains tax. Do your own research. Don’t be a victim of internet bullshit. Be a responsible American. Vote early, vote often!

Losing 44% of the income made on ANY sale is absurd. Capital gains taxes are already ridiculously high. The sad thing is the extra money taken from we the people by .gov in these transactions is not used to slow or reduce our national debt or deficits. It just gets squandered on new pet projects and pork spending.
Its like me telling my employer I need a raise because I'm struggling to pay my mortgage. I get said raise, waste it all on bookers and blow, and then go back to my boss saying I'm still having trouble paying my mortgage, I need another raise.

I wonder what the impacts of this would be. I'm envisioning an extreme reluctance to sell houses which will keep inventory low and drive prices through the roof. Instead, homeowners will hang onto their house when they move, and rent it out instead. Thus, young middle-class people will be unable to find houses they can afford to buy, driving up the demand for rentals (and the cost of renting).
I think the net result of this plan would be the exact opposite of the (stated) intention. Which is pretty typical for Democrat policies. Their goals are almost always laudable - of course we'd be better off with no hunger, no homelessness, no gun crime, etc - but their policies are so poorly thought out that they often drive up rates of hunger, homelessness, and gun crime.
