Nonsense. There were ample opportunities this year to affect the outcomes of Dem races. One of the more glaring being the Westchester DA race. The choice was either the incumbent or upstart challenger who is an antigun ideologue. All gun groups had to do was tell their constituents to vote for the incumbent as the alternative is nuts. Same with a Senate race in Rockland, same with an Assembly race in Rochester, etc. As I said this is not hard. Make a decision.

Gun Groups are mentioned as an example when the "individual" was the original topic. Life is not always a "half full" outlook when the obvious is front of one.

Individual gun owners, especially those registered as Democrats, need to attend every local political event. Party fundraisers, meet the candidates, etc.

As I have repeatedly said gun owners must be involved with Democrat party politics, go to their events, participate in their elections and help choose their candidates. Pretending they don't exist does not work.

I 100% agree. I intend to attend meetings from multiple parties over the next few years. My time is limited, but I want to be on the pulse of what each group is thinking.

That's not to say I'm clueless as to what each side thinks. I'm probably more on the pulse than most on the this forum with regard to non-conservative sources.

There have to be strong moderate voices to bring both parties back to sanity. Temperance and reason need to not be a dirty word anymore. We need strong advocates out there if we want to see a resurgence of common sense, and less armchair warriors.

You do realize that the State law, of which you speak, is and was an utter failure? And estimated 10% complied with the law (registration)... So not too sure how you equate non-discussion with some form of compliance or abdication!? Let alone 'online" in a public forum!

There's been plenty nailed for having a normal functioning non compliant rifle or standard capacity mags. I know of a guy locally that lost a chest rig out of his Jeep, had 1 empty standard capacity AR mag and some sort of identification in it. SP tracked him down and presented him with shiny new matching bracelets when the chest rig was found.

Yeah, if you want better gun rights the option is to move. I know for some that's not an option, and in those situations, you'll have to be content with either being a "criminal" or abiding by the law. Even Cali has better or at least more competently written "gun laws" than NY (with the exception of pistols, which we have a greater choice of).

Nothing here will change. There is a super small hope that the SC will take it on, but they've already passed legislation that many states, NY included, have ignored. They have 0 incentive to change things legally, and I just don't see any IRA type group taking to the streets. Really the easiest option for "law abiding" citizens (i.e. not gangbangers who break laws anyways) is to leave NY.
